Born in Cumbria I've lived on the edge of the Lake District for most of my life and have slowly become more passionate about the area and its rugged beauty. As a latecomer to photography I love nothing more than spending time walking and discovering new locations to shoot on the fells and lakes. I find myself returning to the same locations time and time again, this enables me to truly understand its beauty and how to get the best out of its mood, light and atmosphere. My love of photography for me means an early morning start with each new day bringing a tingle of excitement and wondering whether the light and weather will play today.
